Add rectangular areas and repeat layouts for multi-home or commercial projects. Each area can use its own profile and colour.
Boards = area ÷ nominal board area, with the waste allowance applied before rounding up.
Use 0% for the theoretical quantity. The editable 10% default is a planning assumption; adjust for cutting and the laying pattern. Accessories use the original area, without this uplift.
Estimates include boards and area-based allowances for joists, fixing clips and starter clips. Confirm compatible parts and installation quantities. Maximum 20 project areas.

About 2.5 boards per square metre. One board is 139 × 2,900 mm and covers 0.40 m², so a 300 m² deck is roughly 7,45 boards. The calculator above splits it into base boards and waste boards for each area, so you can see both.
About 7.2 lineal metres per square metre for a 139 mm board, 7.1 for a 140 mm board — a 500 m² order is roughly 3,600. The calculator’s Linear metres incl. waste line gives you the figure directly, so nothing needs converting by hand.
Yes — break it into rectangles and add each as a separate area. For identical layouts use Add another area with the repeat quantity rather than entering them one by one. For curved or angled perimeters, use the bounding rectangle and raise the waste allowance, because diagonal and herringbone layouts cut more.
Only the waste allowance. There is no gap field; the quantities come straight off the board face. Waste defaults to 10%, which suits rectangular areas; 15% is safer for diagonal or herringbone layouts, picture-frame borders and raked ends.
300 to 350 mm centres, with every board end landing on a joist. The calculator returns the joist run, fixing clips and starter clips alongside your boards. Starter clips are a provisional allowance until the edge detail is set. Span, bearer sizing and footings are specified by your builder or engineer.
Between 18 and 30 kg per square metre depending on the range — Renew hollow about 18, VerdeLife 22, TimberLuxe solid 30. The calculator returns the estimated net board weight in kilograms for your areas.
Solid composite is heavier. Hardwood decking runs roughly 16 to 20 kg per square metre depending on species; our solid ranges are 22 to 30. It matters at the container, because composite reaches the weight limit long before it fills the volume — and that, not the unit price, is usually what sets your landed cost per square metre.

No — it gives you quantity and weight, the two things a real quotation is built from. We supply wholesale, so your number is a landed cost per square metre: it depends on profile, colour mix, volume, port and the rate on the day. Send the schedule and you get an actual price.
500 m² in total, and it can be any mix of composite decking, cladding and screening in any of our six colours — it does not have to be one product or one colour.
