DecoGroove exterior wall panels are manufactured and tested to internationally recognized standards, including ISO, RoHS, and SGS certifications. Performance testing includes ASTM D1037 (water absorption) and EN 15534 (flexural strength). For projects requiring IBC compliance documentation or state-specific approval, our trade team provides complete third-party test reports to support the specification and Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) review process.
Current fire performance test data is available from our trade team on request. For projects in California, Colorado, or other Wildland-Urban Interface (WUI) designated zones, we recommend confirming product suitability with your local building department and fire authority using our available documentation prior to specification. Yes. DecoGroove installs over a standard aluminum or treated timber subframe with a ventilated cavity, consistent with rainscreen cladding assemblies. The concealed clip fastening system eliminates face-fix fasteners and produces a flush, uninterrupted facade surface. The installation workflow is familiar to commercial framing and facade crews working with standard rainscreen and panel systems.
Material cost per unit is typically higher for composite wall cladding. However, the installed cost gap narrows significantly when field labor is accounted for — DecoGroove is lighter, faster to handle on multi-story projects, and requires no field priming or painting on installation day. Yes. The 26.2 MPa flexural strength (EN 15534) and 0.2% water absorption (ASTM D1037) are consistent with commercial facade and mid-rise specifications. None beyond routine cleaning. The co-extruded polymer cap layer requires no painting, staining, oiling, or sealing at installation or at any point during the product’s service life. For facades in high-traffic urban environments or direct coastal salt exposure, periodic washing with water and a mild detergent is sufficient to maintain the panel’s appearance.
