ABOUT THIS PRODUCT

Why Distributors and Commercial Contractors Source Linea Composite Fence Panels

A handful of consumer-facing brands dominate the American market for architectural composite fence panels. But for distributors managing commercial accounts — and contractors running multi-building projects — those brands come with fixed SKUs, limited profile options, and pricing structures built around retail margins.

Linea Screening is manufactured and supplied directly from our production facility with no intermediary distribution layer. That means your cost structure improves, your lead times are confirmed at order placement, and your product can carry your label, your color, and your specified dimensions.

This is not a rebranded consumer decking product fitted with a batten profile. Linea composite fence panels are purpose-built for facade and screening applications — co-extruded from recycled hardwood fiber and HDPE with a permanently bonded cap layer that eliminates the two failure modes that drive warranty claims in composite screening: surface delamination and moisture-driven dimensional shift.

Product Detail

The Co-Extrusion Advantage — Why Material Construction Matters

Most composite battens that generate field complaints share one of two failure modes. Either the surface finish — a coating or laminate applied after the core is formed — begins to chip, blister, or peel under UV exposure and temperature cycling. Or the core absorbs sufficient moisture to shift dimensionally, pushing batten spacing out of specification and creating visible unevenness across a facade elevation.

Linea composite fence panels address both failure modes at the manufacturing stage.

The cap layer is not applied after the core exits the extruder. It is formed in the same production step, using a co-extrusion die that creates the cap and core as a single unified structure. There is no adhesive interface, no coating-to-substrate bond to break down, and no delamination pathway.

The core composition — recycled hardwood fiber combined with HDPE — is formulated to an ASTM D1037 water absorption result of 0.2%. At that absorption level, seasonal moisture variation produces no measurable dimensional change. Battens installed to a specified shadow line gap in spring will hold that gap through summer heat and winter rain without corrective maintenance.

For commercial contractors managing projects across multiple facades or buildings, this means installation tolerances are not a first-year performance question. The material holds its form.

MATERIAL COMPARISON

Composite Fence Panels vs. Traditional Facade Materials

Commercial fence panel projects in the U.S. are most commonly specified in one of four material categories. Each carries a different performance profile, maintenance liability, and total cost of ownership over a 10–15 year project lifecycle.

Property Linea Composite Fence Panels Natural Wood (Cedar / Redwood) Powder-Coated Aluminium PVC / Vinyl Battens
Surface Finish Durability
Co-extruded cap layer integral to board — cannot chip or peel
Surface checks, splits, and splinters under UV and moisture cycling
Coating chips and blisters under impact or coastal corrosion
Prone to surface crazing and brittleness at temperature extremes
Moisture Response
0.2 % water absorption (ASTM D1037) — dimensionally stable year-round
High absorption — swells, warps, and shifts batten spacing seasonally
Non-absorbent but surface oxidation occurs in salt-air environments
Non-absorbent but thermal expansion causes visible gap variation
Maintenance Requirement
None — no sealing, staining, recoating, or treatment over service life
Annual or biennial oiling, staining, or sealing required
Periodic inspection; spot recoating of damaged or corroded sections
Periodic cleaning; no recoating but surface degradation is irreversible
Termite & Pest Resistance
No exposed cellulose — fully resistant, no chemical treatment needed
Requires ongoing chemical treatment in termite-active regions
Fully resistant
Fully resistant
Thermal Expansion
Low expansion coefficient — stable across climate zones
Moderate — managed through seasoned timber and installation gaps
High — audible movement and fastener stress in temperature swings
High — requires larger installation gaps; visible in long batten runs
Aesthetic Warmth
Wood-grain embossed surface — natural timber appearance
Genuine timber warmth — weathers to grey without treatment
Industrial finish — requires cladding or paint to soften
Uniform plastic appearance — limited design acceptance in commercial spec
Touch Comfort
Warm to touch — suitable for pedestrian contact zones
Warm — but splinter risk without regular maintenance
Heat-conductive — uncomfortable in direct sun exposure
Warm but surface texture limited
Formaldehyde Emission
Not detected (EN 717-1) — suitable for enclosed commercial environments
Varies by species and treatment — some pressure-treated grades emit VOCs
Non-applicable (inert metal)
Varies by compound — some PVC grades off-gas plasticizers
Recycled Content
60 % recycled HDPE — supports LEED material credit documentation
Varies; FSC certification available but adds procurement complexity
Typically virgin extrusion; recycled-grade aluminium available at premium
Varies; recycled PVC grades available but less common in batten profiles
OEM Customisation
Full — colour, length, surface texture, profile shape, private-label packaging
Limited to species, grade, and dimension; no colour customisation
Colour restricted to powder-coat range; profile changes require new tooling
Limited colour range; profile changes require new tooling investment
Cut-to-Length On Site
Standard circular or hand saw — no specialist tooling or edge treatment
Standard woodworking tools
Requires metal-cutting blades; cut edges need finishing to prevent corrosion
Standard tools; cut edges may require capping to prevent moisture ingress
Project Documentation
CE / ISO / RoHS / SGS certified — full test report packages on request
FSC chain-of-custody; species-dependent performance data
Varies by fabricator; AAMA coating certification available
Varies widely; limited standardised test documentation

FAQ

Common Questions

Can’t find your answer? Our trade team is ready to help.

Commercial facade screening, architectural privacy screens, exterior feature walls, retail frontage battens, office fitout partitions, and residential development feature walls at scale. The two profile sizes — 45×90 mm and 50×50 mm — cover the majority of shadow-line and spacing density requirements in commercial specification.

Yes. Linea Screening is compatible with vertical, horizontal, and angled installation configurations. The clip-fix and face-screw fastening options adapt to standard aluminum and WPC sub-framing systems without modification.

Standard production lead time is 10–15 business days from order confirmation. OEM and custom-color orders may require an additional 5–7 days for color batch approval. Sea freight transit to U.S. West Coast ports is approximately 25–30 days from FOB departure.

Yes — in full. Color, surface texture, batten length, profile shape, and retail or bulk packaging are all available as OEM specifications. Private-label packaging is available for regional distributors. Contact our trade team for MOQ thresholds on custom production runs.

The 60% recycled HDPE content and formaldehyde-free material composition support low-embodied-carbon and recycled-material credit documentation. Material data sheets and content declarations are available on request.

Standard aluminum alloy or WPC post-and-rail sub-framing. No proprietary fastening system is required. The concealed clip system is compatible with industry-standard aluminum framing profiles used in commercial construction across the U.S.
